What a colorful, almost graffiti-like, ceramic chime. Imagine it unearthed at an excavation in Byblos, Lebanon, 20 miles (30 km) north of the modern and vibrant city of Beirut, Lebanon. The calligraphy writing on each chime, so worn by time, reads HOPE in Arabic. Byblos is certainly one of the oldest continuously inhabited towns in the world and this chime reflects the colorful history of Lebanon.
