Red Tehran Map
Handbuilt Ceramic Vessel
The Qajar dynasty chose Tehran as the capital of Iran in 1786. A red modern map of the city on red earthenware gives the sense the map is antiquated as the edges echo those of an ancient past.
The graphic vessel is handcrafted and kiln fired three times.
11 inches in height and 9 inches wide
